Etherley Moor

Etherley Moor is as good as my home patch and is situated on the outskirts of Bishop Auckland.  The farmland, hedgerows and roadside wires are always worth checking for Corn Buntings (not been seen or heard since 2013), Grey Partridge, Green Woodpecker, Lapwing, Pipits, Skylark, Linnet, Redwing, Fieldfare, Song Thrush, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, etc.  Our garden feeding station attracts all the usual birds that visit a typical feeding station including Tree Sparrow, House Sparrow, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Siskin, Lesser Redpoll, Robin, Dunnock, Wren, etc.  Best birds seen here include Whooper Swan (over), Cuckoo and Waxwing.
